By making a booking, you accept the following Terms and Conditions.
Steps for booking and confirmations
You can book a camp by filling in the form in each camp page or simply sending us an e-mail at [email protected].
After booking a spot, you will receive an e-mail or phone call from our team to confirm that we have spots available.
In order for the booking to be definitive, you will first have to make a deposit payment of 250 euro. The rest of the balance is payable 31 days before the start of any camp, the latest. You will get all the information about these transfers from our team, by e-mail, after filling in the form in the camp page you’re interested in.
Booking early means you secure a spot. For all Trails and Tales camps, we have between 7 and maximum 15 places available, and there is a possibility that other participants will book the places fast.
A booking is confirmed and definitive only after transferring the deposit.
After securing your spot by transferring the deposit, you will get all the information and support from us regarding the details of the camp through a Camp Catalogue.
All TNT camps will not be organised unless a minimum number of participants book and confirm their spot. Please don’t make any travel arrangements or purchases before you receive a definitive confirmation from Trails and Tales that the camp you booked will take place.
After making the deposit, you have time to transfer the remaining balance. The deadline for the final transfer is one month before the first day of the camp. Failing to transfer the remaining balance before 31 days before the start of the camp means Trails and Tales won’t be able to keep your spot, in case other participants have already booked and fully paid all the available spots.
We reserve the right to cancel the booking and forfeit the deposit if the final balance is not paid before this date.
During the weeks before the start of a camp we will offer you support for travel arrangements, packing list, route details, and everything you need in order to enjoy a safe trip, and a fun, well planned camp.
Cancellations and refunds
We understand that unpredictable things can come up, that can prevent you from attending the Trails and Tales camps. That’s why we have a cancellation and refund policy. Here are the refunds that we can offer in case of cancellations:
- The deposit and any other amount paid for any camp will be 100% refunded in case you cancel up to 90 days before the camp.
- Between 90 days and 60 days prior to the camp, we will not be able to refund, but we can transfer your deposit to a friend who will take over the rest of the payment needed. Or, you can also transfer the amount as a deposit for one of our other camps (in this case, a fee of 100 euro will be charged).
- With 60 days or less left before the first day of a camp, any amount paid cannot be refunded.
- In case you’ve fully paid for a camp, we can only fully refund you if you notice us by e-mail with up to 90 days before the first day of the camp. After this date, we can only partially refund you. Depending on each camp, there are some fixed costs that we won’t be able to refund if you cancel less than 90 days before the event.
Cancelled camps
We hold the right to cancel a camp due to reasons such as extreme weather conditions, not meeting the minimum number of participants and others.
In case that a camp is cancelled by Trails and Tales, you can choose to be fully refunded or to transfer any amount paid to book another of our camps.
Single occupancy rooms
For most of our camps we offer double or multiple occupancy rooms. This information is always stated in the accommodation description in each camp page on the Trails and Tales website. However, if you prefer to stay in single occupancy, please notify us and we will inform you of the availability, single supplement, and make the arrangements needed.
Travel Insurance
All the participants in the Trails and Tales camps have to make proof of a travel insurance covering all the days of the camp.
We reserve the right to refuse the participation in the camp to anyone who doesn’t have a travel insurance valid for the entire camp period and the country it will be held in.
Photography rights
During our camps, any participant, organiser or guide can take photographs. Trails and Tales can use any of these images for commercial purposes, on different channels and platforms.
